Gourmet Weekend @ Whistler Wines – Sat 7th & Sun 8th of September

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th September | 10:30am-5:00pm both days

Join us at Whistler for Gourmet Weekend again this year  and see why Whistler Wines is one of the most popular stops on the trail. Our wines will be pouring all day, to get you in a mood for exploring all that the Barossa has to offer.

FOOD: To celebrate the start of Spring, we will be feeding you the best produce of our region, supplied by Sam Worrell-Thompson (of Fine and Fettle fame).  Check out the delicious menu below:

  • Leek & Manchego croquettes, paprika aioli  $15
  • Truffled Jamon & tilset toastie $12
  • Loaded Paprika fries, spicy tomato sauce, kewpie mayo $10
  • BBQ whole squid, green olive, fried potatoes, nduja, toasted freekah $22
  • Paella, peppers, chorizo, pipis, morcilla $19

KIDS-

  • Ham & Cheese Toastie $9
  • Chicken Nuggets and Fries $15
  • Fries $9

MUSIC: Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of dancing to one of our favourite bands, The Valley Cats.

COFFEE: Sip on tasty hot beverages by Barossa Bean Bar

SWEETS: Enjoy sweet treats courtesy of Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company.

COST: The cost is just $10 per person, as a part of the Barossa Gourmet Trail (The $10 Gourmet Trail pass includes your souvenir glass and grants access to all Gourmet Trail events (subject to capacity and opening hours). You can purchase a pass here or from our Cellar Door on Gourmet Weekend.

Get in early as we often hit capacity! No buses will be accepted past 12:00pm on both days. Link SA Buses will be picking up patrons post-12pm only

CURRY & CABERNET – 11TH OF AUGUST

Curry and Cabernet is back again this year, if you missed out on Stew & Shiraz or just want to do it all over again then this is the event for you!

Namaste Nepalese Restaurant will be serving authentic, fragrant curries all day (Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options available), while Barossa Bean Bar will meet all your coffee needs! Whistler regulars Free Genie will warm your soul with their live tunes and of course, there will also be plenty of Whistler Wines available by the glass or bottle.

Grab your friends and family, cosy up around a fire and let the Sunday fun roll on!

No bookings required, we just recommend getting in early with your own chairs & picnic rugs so you don’t miss out!

BURNING VINE – 7TH OF JULY

SUNDAY THE 7th OF JULY| 10:30AM – 5:00PM

Vintage is over, the leaves have dropped, the vines have been pruned, and winter is here. This year, Whistler Wines, is debuting an annual event – Burning Vine – to set alight to the year’s debris in celebration of another incredible harvest season.

Comida Catering Co. will be cooking food over coals, Day Job will be serving coffees and Brad Bryksy Music will be busting out the live tunes.

Join us and be transfixed by the flames as we burn the vines that have served us so well in seasons past.

This is a FREE event, no bookings required.

STEW & SHIRAZ – JUNE 9TH

SUNDAY 9TH OF JUNE, 2019

Join us this June long weekend for our annual Stew & Shiraz event. Sunday 9th of June from 10:30am-5pm.

Enjoy a heart warming bowl of stew or soup by Hand Made Catering, chill out to live music by Colonel Mustard, keep warm around a fire all while you sip on a glass of Shiraz.

No bookings required. This is a free event, but please note that we have hit capacity in the past, so get in early to avoid missing out.

You are encouraged to bring your own tables and chairs.

MOTHER’S DAY – MAY 12TH

SUNDAY THE 12TH OF MAY 2019

Join us this Mother’s Day on the lawns at Whistler. We will help you spoil your Mum with a complimentary glass of 2018 ‘Fruit Tingle’ Frizzanté on arrival.

CINCO DE MAYO – 5TH OF MAY

For the first time we are celebrating Cinco de Mayo here at Whistler with Tacocat doing their thing with Mexican food.

Cellar Door will be open from 10:30am-5pm, but food service will only be from 12-4pm. No bookings required- Get in quick to avoid missing out!
